“Comfort Of The Sick” is the new single and first output from Moscow’s sludge-rockers Montezuma’s Revenge since 2017.

The song’s catchy doom-rock chorus fenced by signature lard-soaked riffs and spiked with a pinch of back-metal in the bridge is the closest Montezuma’s ever been to the end-of-days radio format.

It also marks the band’s first recording as a reformed four-piece joined by Andrew Lockjaw Kontuzov (Grizzly Knows No Remorse) on vocals and Anton Yalowchuk (Re:Stoned, Morokh, The Blacklights) in the drum seat.

Alexei Sazhin (Morokh) guests on guitar delivering vicious infernal tremolo.

The piece was recorded and mixed at DTH studio in Moscow by Andrew “Astro” Gankin and mastered by Ilya “Marvel” Gorokhvodatskij.

Cover art is a piece by Sasha Boots, Montezuma’s Revenge art-director.
